I wish I can find this drops at the stores too, I would a have it earlier! June 21, 2009 H. Racz 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
My baby loves these drops, and so easy to give it to him. He was 12 weeks old when I bought it, because the one what you can buy at the store made him throw up (I'm not surprised even the smell is not good), and I was devastated what should I do to give him vitamin D. Now he doesn't even know that he is getting it, I just drop it on my nipple and that's it. Wonderful. Finally something for baby, which is torture free. I wish I could buy it at the store too.
Great product March 25, 2009 Carolyn E. Ucciferro (Baltimore, MD) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
This product is sooooo much easier and better than giving an infant those nasty tasting tri-visol vitamin drops by Enfamil. Although this product only provides vitamin D, thats all a breastfed infant needs as far as a supplement. No taste, no mess, great product.
This product is long overdue! Babies will not spit it out! September 29, 2009 Jolie M. Root (Parker, CO United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am so glad Carlson made this product available. For years I've been recommending that parents supplement vitamin D for their infants and young children based on the incredible amount of research, and the fact that breastmilk does not provide enough vitamin D. The American Academy of Pediatrics just doubled the recommended amount for new babies to 400 iu per day. This product is the only one that gives that in a single unflavored drop. Babies will not spit this out! Most vitamin D liquids are flavored and the little ones don't like them, but this one has the full dose in a single drop which can be put on a pacifier or on mom's nipple while the infant nurses. For older children a drop can be put on a teething biscuit or a little piece of toast or on a spoonful of their food. It could not be easier to give your baby the vitamin D he or she needs! Thanks Carlson! Fabulous product!
An Absolute Must-Have for Breastfed Babies May 27, 2009 Youngstown Mama (Youngstown, OH) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We went through several brands of vitamin D drops with no success before finally finding this brand. My daughter would not take any of the other drops because they tasted horrible and an entire dropperful was needed to get the 400IU. With these, it's one drop, no taste. Just put it on your nipple before you begin feeding your baby and they have no idea that anything unusual is going on. Easy as can be.
No artificial crap! March 9, 2010 Jennifer Leonard (Jersey City, NJ United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Why would a newborn need artificially-colored vitamins?? I love that these don't have a bunch of extra crap and are really easy to give to her. Direct sun is best, but when it's too cold or we can't get out, these are great for a breastfeeding baby!
